Look for a specific description
The label on a cover can encompass different performance traditions and contemporary approaches. Prefer a course description that names its focus and explains the teacher’s background. Costume and scenery are not evidence of teaching quality.
Check the explanation in a sample
Listen for clear language about what the instructor intends to teach and who the lesson is for. Decide whether the camera, captions and pace help you understand the demonstration. Write down any unfamiliar term rather than assigning your own meaning.
Take unanswered questions to a teacher
A recording cannot check your interpretation or adjust the lesson to your circumstances. Use it as a reference alongside instruction where you can ask questions. Do not continue a movement that feels painful or unsuitable.
